18 USB Drive

To make the USB Drive I started by creating a 175 px by 300 px rectangle and aligned it. Then I created the bottom part of the image by using the Ellipse Tool with a 175 px width and 50 px height. I aligned the ellipse and dragged it to the bottom of the rectangle and united them using pathfinder. I filled the shape with a Linear Gradient and then added two more rectangles, 158 px by 12 px and 118 px by 8 px. I fixed the fill of the new rectangles and aligned them behind  the top of the USB. I made three more squares and aligned them above the USB. I added the smaller rectangles on top of the squares. Then, I added the line in the middle. After, I added an ellipse at the bottom of the USB. Then I fixed the colors and added the text.

17 Soft Filtering Skin Tones

To apply this effect I duplicated the background layer first. Then, I clicked on Convert for Smart Filters. After, I added Gaussian Blur. I then added Screen. I then added a layer mask and then clicked the Brush tool. I then clicked the Airbrush thumbnail and set the opacity to 40%. With these settings I painted over the eyes and the mouth to remove the blur from them and make them stand out.

16 Quick Masking To Add A Desired Effect

I first zoomed in to the area I wanted to select. I clicked the Quick Mask mode button. Then I used the brush tool to paint the area I wanted. When the area I wanted was fully covered I clicked on Select and then on Inverse. Finally, I tinted the area and lowered the opacity in a new layer. Quick Masking is more precise and captures the small details.

15 Smart Filtering with Motion Blur

To add this effect I went to Filter, Blur, Motion Blur and adjusted the angle and distance. I then used the brush tool to paint over the car to remove the blur. Finally, I put the before and after images together. Smart Filter, unlike normal filter, allows us to add multiple filters one on top of the other and change the order.

14 A & B Displacement Maps

14 A

14 B
I opened a new document and moved the brick wall and the flag on to the new document. I put the flag layer on Hard Light and made a copy of the brick layer and clicked on CTRL+Shift+U to desaturate it. I went to Filter, Blur, Gaussian Blur and put 1px for the blur. I saved it as displacement map and then selected the flag layer. With the flag layer selected I went to Filter, Distort, Displace and opened the saved displacement map. I then selected the brick layer and put it on Hard Light and adjusted the opacity.

For 14B I followed the same steps as 14A but replaced the brick wall with a picture of Austin and the flag with a musical note.

13 Mimicking The Change One Thing Poster

I set the background to a solid color and used an image of chicken nuggets to be replaced by fruits. I used the magnetic lasso tool to select the chicken nuggets and then I clicked on copy merged and pasted it on a new layer. I then added the image of the fruits above the chicken nuggets and created a clipping mask. I then added the text and the logo.

12 Texture With Layer Mode

12 Texture With Layer Mode
I first used the magnetic lasso tool to select the dress, I clicked on copy merged and pasted it on a new layer. I opened the texture image and placed it above the dress. I created a clipping mask for the texture and the dress extract. Finally, I added color dodge and put the results with the original.

11 Flyer

11 Flyer
I made this flyer by adding a gradient to the background and then adding crazy text. I typed in the "when" and "where". I added a picture and used the magic wand to delete the unwanted surroundings.
